Cookie Policy
Last updated: 28 July 2026 · Operated by JDBESPOKEFLOORS LTD
This page explains how jdbespokefloors-games.com uses cookies and similar technologies. In keeping with the rest of the lounge, we keep things minimal: no advertising networks, no cross-site trackers, no profiling.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device so it can remember something about your visit — a preference, a setting, a consent decision. They cannot run programs or read other files on your device. First-party cookies are set by the site you are visiting; third-party cookies are set by someone else whose content is embedded in the page. This site sets only first-party data itself; third parties come into play only inside game frames, as described below.
Similar technologies
Alongside cookies, browsers offer small storage areas called localStorage and sessionStorage. They work like cookies — small labelled values kept on your device — but are never sent to the server automatically. We use them for the same modest purposes and list them in the table below, because honesty about storage should not depend on which API it uses.
Cookies and storage we set
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| jdbg_cookies | Remembers whether you accepted or declined our cookie notice so we don't ask again on every visit. | Essential (localStorage) | Until you clear it |
| Session storage | Keeps short-lived interface state, such as which game demo is open, while the tab is active. | Essential | Until tab closes |
| Server session | Standard, short-lived technical identifiers our web server may use to deliver pages efficiently and securely. | Essential | Minutes |
How consent works here
On your first visit, a banner asks whether you accept our use of cookies. Whichever button you press, the answer itself has to be remembered — otherwise we would greet you with the same banner forever, which helps nobody. That single remembered answer is classed as strictly necessary and is the only thing stored when you press "Decline". Nothing else is set until and unless it is needed to make a feature you chose actually work.
Third-party cookies
When you choose to load an embedded demo game, its provider may set cookies from within the game frame to make the game function (for example, remembering the session or your sound setting). These are controlled by the provider, not by us, and are only set after the frame loads. If you prefer to avoid them, simply don't open the embedded demos — every other part of the site works identically without them.
The demo frames on this site are served by established game studios and their content-delivery networks. Each provider publishes its own cookie and privacy notices, which apply inside the frame. We choose providers whose demos run without registration, which keeps the data footprint of even the embedded content small.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can delete or block cookies at any time through your browser settings. Blocking our essential storage will not break the games, though the site may ask for your cookie preference again on each visit. The controls live in slightly different places depending on your browser:
- Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Site settings;
- Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data;
- Safari — Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data;
- Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies.
Most browsers also offer a private or incognito mode, which discards cookies and storage automatically when the window closes — a convenient way to visit the lounge and leave no trace at all.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers can send "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signals. Because we do not track visitors across sites in the first place, there is nothing for these signals to switch off — our answer to them is a standing "already done".
Analytics
We currently rely on anonymous, aggregated server statistics rather than analytics cookies. Those statistics tell us things like which pages are popular and which games are opened most, without identifying anyone. If that ever changes, this page and the consent banner will be updated before anything new is set, and analytics would only run with your consent.
Changes to this policy
When we change what we store, we change this page first: the table above is the authoritative list, and the date at the top shows when it was last reviewed. Significant changes will be flagged on the home page. We review this policy at least once a year, usually alongside a general tidy-up of the workshop.
